Ambassador visits

 Strengthening global ties through dialogue

 Voka – Limburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in close collaboration with the Province of Limburg, hosts dozens of ambassadorial visits each year. These visits are designed to introduce foreign ambassadors to the strengths and opportunities of our region, while deepening trade relations and opening new avenues for international collaboration.

 During these visits, ambassadors engage directly with the Governor of Limburg and Voka, and connect with leading business figures from across the province. Through real-life stories, best  practices, and open dialogue, the region’s unique assets and innovative spirit come to life. These encounters not only strengthen diplomatic ties but also inspire Limburg companies to ex  pand their horizons and seize opportunities beyond borders.

Our Export Desk brings together expertise and services related to international business and is your point of contact for all questions regarding certificates of origin, consular services and ATA Carnets:

Certificates of Origin

Businesses trading on international markets are often required to provide a certificate of origin. In some cases, goods can only be imported into a country if they are accompanied by proof of origin. In other cases, the importer requires the exporter to provide proof of origin in order to obtain a reduction or exemption from import duties. In the first case, this is referred to as non-preferential origin; in the second, as preferential origin. For non-preferential origin, Voka - Limburg Chambers of Commerce and Industry can issue a certificate of origin. For preferential origin, you should contact the customs authorities.

Consular Services

The consular service is a structured courier service provided by Voka for exporting companies. Through this courier service, export documents can be provided with the necessary additional visas. This “signature” can be issued by an embassy or consulate of the destination country, as well as by other authorities based in Brussels.

ATA Carnet

Thanks to this convenient document, you can temporarily export your goods (samples, demonstration materials, trade fair materials, professional tools, etc.) to all countries that have signed the ATA Convention, with full exemption from import duties, VAT, permits and customs guarantees.The ATA Carnet is a standardised customs document that allows you to temporarily import goods into non-EU countries or equivalent territories that participate in the ATA network, without paying customs duties and/or taxes, for a specific type of use.The network of Chambers of Commerce is authorised to issue ATA Carnets. Depending on the conventions signed by a particular country, an ATA Carnet can be issued for different types of use. For more information on using and applying for an ATA Carnet, click here. GlobalSign

Digital signatures are used to verify the identity of authors and co-signatories of emails or electronic information. Digital signatures are created and verified using Digital Certificates. Today, both the international and Belgian legal communities have established legislation that makes digital signatures just as legally binding and universally accepted as their handwritten counterparts. When you want to sign a message or carry out a secure transaction, you need your own unique Digital Certificate.

Qualified Electronic Signature (QES)

The Belgian Chambers of Commerce have been working with GlobalSign for many years to issue PersonalSign 3 Pro certificates, which are required for certain transactions with government authorities. This cooperation is now being extended to include qualified electronic signatures.
