Last week, we had an excellent and fruitful discussion on ‘Ports and Defence’ during our event in Antwerp on Monday 8 and Tuesday 9 September.
A fine blend of policy officers, academics, politicians and military staff discussed the impact of the current geo-political instability on the world-order as we know it; the challenges for Europe, Nato and its political and military structures to deal with this instability and the role of ports in rebuilding military capacity.
The Antwerp Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the German Marshall Fund will continue their dialogue and efforts to strengthen the transatlantic relations because these are vital for the stability, values and prosperity on both sides of the Atlantic.
