 IMPACT: Implementation of the provisions of the Acquis Communautaire and transfer of best EU practices

The overall objective of the IMPACT project is to strengthen the role of the BROs and to promote awareness about "acquis communautaire" rules at BROs and the business community in beneficiary countries.

The project IMPACT has 3 important goals:
1. to implement sustainable tools and methods for organizing "acquis communautaire"   audits at enterprises.
2. to transfer best practices from EU enterprises in priority areas (e.g. health and safety at work, environment, food safety).
3. to strengthen the role of BROs through capacity building training and exchange of experience.

General project information

 

Target groups

BROs in 3 beneficiary countries (Bulgaria, Romania and Croatia) who represent - via their mission and network of regional offices - the business community in the whole country.

 

Beneficiaries

Minimum 150 enterprises in 3 beneficiary countries (Bulgaria, Romania and Croatia) of which an important part will consist of foodstuff manufacturers.

The network of regional Chambers of Commerce in the beneficiary countries. Moreover in the end all companies will benefit from the project as the BROs will be strengthened and will be able to better represent their companies.

 

Estimated results

  • Detailed "acquis communautaire" audits in 150 enterprises in beneficiary countries.
  • 30 staff at BROs in BF countries trained in using in a sustainable way horizontal and vertical "acquis" checklists.
  • Transfer of best practices from EU enterprises in BF countries at minimum 15 thematic workshop sessions.
  • Transfer of know how in the field of advocating the interests ofmember companies.

 

Main activities

  • Kick-off meeting, followed by the drafting of a series of minimum 6 horizontal and vertical "acquis communautaire" checklists and an electronic supporting tool "Guide for doing business with the EU".
  • Training of 30 trainers in using "acquis" checklists during intervieuws with enterprises.
  • 150 "acquis communautaire" audits (50 per BF country) + follow-up reports for enterprises.
  • A series of 15 workshops (3 BF countries x 5 thematic sessions) in which best practices from EU enterprises will be demonstrated.
  • Capacity building seminar in the field of advocating interests of member companies for BROs and other interested employers organisations.
